Apogee Element 24 for Mac computers
It is a sound card with Thunderbolt interface. Element series sound cards take the best parts of high-end, high-tech devices such as Apogee’s Symphony I/O MKII, Ensemble Thunderbolt and Groove and present them to users in an extremely simple and plain format. With modern features and advanced software/hardware control possibilities, Element series offers quality and performance to users at an unprecedented price range.
Analog / Digital conversion
High quality A/D conversion is the most critical point of high quality recording to computer. The Element series uses Apogee’s best A/D converters. When you record with Element series sound cards, unwanted noise is minimized and signal quality is maximized. As a result, your recordings will sound much better and will be easier to mix.
Microphone Preamplifiers
Whether you’re recording powerful drums, delicate strings or dynamic vocals, premium mic preamps are needed to capture even the tiniest nuances of performance. Element series sound cards Apogee’s “Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture™” technology amplifiers. These analog circuits allow the preamp to be dynamically optimized across the entire 0-75 dB gain range to provide low distortion and superior bandwidth. In this way, maximum bandwidth and minimum distortion are obtained, no matter how much gain is worked.
Digital / Analog Conversion
With high quality D/A converters, you can hear more details from every recording and virtual instrument. This clarity and clarity allow you to make more precise adjustments and achieve the ideal balance when mixing your music. When you listen to your recordings through Element, the tracks will blend more harmoniously and it will be easier for you to mix. The upper frequencies will be clearer and clearer, and the lower frequencies will be fuller and fuller.
Clocking
All sound cards need a clock source just like an orchestra needs a conductor. A digital clock sends a timing signal to the entire digital audio system of the sound card, allowing all AD/DA operations to run in sync. Element series has its own internal clock source and it also offers Wordclock IN / OUT opportunity to give or receive this signal from outside. When Element sound cards are used as the main clock source, all connected digital devices can benefit from Apogee’s superior clock technology.
Thunderbolt link
The Thunderbolt driver of Element series sound cards is extremely stable and offers incredibly low latency (1.41 ms roundtrip). Using Direct Memory Access (DMA) technology, these drivers put less load on the computer’s processor. Thus, you can use the power of the processor to use more plug-ins and to listen on DAW with low buffer settings.
