The Genelec 8030C series is the updated model of the 8030A
Introduced in 2017, the 8030C has a 4 dB higher sound intensity compared to its predecessors, but consumes lower power.
An extremely compact and powerful dual-amp close listening monitor, the 8030C is ideal for home studios, digital workstations and surround sound monitoring applications. The MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) cabinet consists of rounded corners and slightly curved front and sides to ensure a smooth frequency response.
Generalec’s Directivity Control Waveguide technology, which provides perfect stereo image and frequency balance even in the most difficult acoustic environments, is also used in 8030Bs.
With its Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) (Intelligent Signal Sensing) feature unique to Genelec, it automatically switches to standby mode when no signal is received, reducing power consumption to less than 0.5 watts. When a signal is applied to the input, the speaker becomes active again without any delay. ISS meets all the latest requirements of the European Union and ErP 2013 directives.
Every Genelec 8030C monitor comes with the Iso-Pod system as standard, and thanks to this system, it can be used in horizontal or vertical position when desired. It is also possible to adjust the acoustic coordinate of the monitor according to the listener.
8030C monitors (where low frequency is required) are recommended with the 7050B Subwoofer.
