New SuperSub Series subwoofers
They are ultra-high-performance yet surprisingly compact subwoofers with unique and advanced technologies and components developed recently. The aim was to create beautifully designed, finely finished, reasonably sized small subwoofers capable of generating ultra-high-amplitude very low-frequency pressure waves, delivering precise and precise low-frequency performance that is highly effective and extremely musical. >
To achieve this, we’ve included a unique, patented *360-degree bi-planar inertial balanced driver and sub-bass radiator topology, along with a very advanced electronics package. By vertically separating two active drivers and two passive radiators horizontally in space, connecting the driver to the room is much more seamlessly distributed for room bass performance that is often not achievable with a single subwoofer.
Electronic packages using SuperSub’s fully balanced array are 1600 watts (XXL) and 1400 watts (X) Class D Digital amplifiers whose design is based on technology originally developed for the GoldenEar Triton One tower. Features include: Discrete multi-band limiting, phase perfect stabilization, fully balanced and advanced reconstruction filters, and a strong focus to keep latency to an absolute minimum.
Input possibilities include a direct-attached, unfiltered LFE input for home theater, or low-pass stereo L/R low-level inputs in two-channel setups. Finally, the result of all this technology is a rock-solid bass response that is both extremely fast and tuned to music and extraordinarily deep and powerful to effortlessly reproduce the most extreme movie sound effects.
Like the SuperSub XXL, the ultra-compact SuperSub X (only slightly larger than a 12-1/2-inch cube) uses the same biplane, patented *inertly balanced driver array, but instead uses two horizontal-opposite 8˝. Ultra-long-throw active drivers driven by a 1400-watt Class D Digital amplifier and two vertically opposing 10-1/2˝ x 9-1/2˝ planar infrasonic radiators. after their first election
