2M styli interchangeable
Physically 2M styli will fit alternate 2M cartridge bodies, but the motors, coils and magnet configurations of 2M Series cartridges are not exactly the same: Red and Blue are the same, Bronze and Black and true mono variants 2M Mono and 2M 78.

The 2M Silver phono cartridge is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) model that takes most of the features of the 2M Red. The 2M Silver features silver plated copper coils, the same coil wire material as the 2M Bronze and Black models, and a reduced number of windings.
2M series styli are interchangeable with the following combinations:
– 2M Red, 2M Blue and 2M Silver
– 2M Bronze, 2M Black and 2M Black LVB 250
– 2M Mono and 2M 78
Special for 2M Magenta, 2M Cyan and 2M Silver phono cartridges:
– 2M Silver will be an upgrade compared to 2M Red due to the special suspension and silver plated copper wire material.
– 2M Blue is an upgrade over both 2M Red and 2M Silver, thanks to the Naked Elliptical diamond that picks up information from the groove with greater accuracy.
