Pioneer DJ adds a new color option to its popular Digital DJ SX (model name: DDJ-SX) controller for its Serato DJ software: cool pearly white.

Like the original black model, the Digital DJ SX-W (model name: DDJ-SX-W) comes with pre-mapped buttons and dials for all the exciting features of Serato DJ and software in the box. So DJs can simply plug and play with Serato DJ’s four decks, eight Hot Cues, six samples and over 30 high-quality FX Powered by iZotope.

DDJ-SX-W has the features of tactile performance DJ staging. Sixteen rubber LED Performance Pads can trigger four modes (Hot Cue, Slicer, Roller and Sampler) and control the volume of samples based on how hard the DJ hits the pad. Dual Deck Control enables live editing on two decks at the same time; and Sliding Mode keep playing silently as DJs loop, scratch, and flip without affecting the original track direction.

With an aluminum jog wheel and a cool, white glossy finish, the DDJ-SX-W is both stylish and durable. And it can be used as a standalone four-channel mixer, giving DJs the flexibility to connect to CDJs or turntables for even more performance options.

        Inherited from the new club standard CDJ-2000nexus, Slip Mode keeps the track playing silently during a loop, inversion, or scratch, and brings the music right when the DJ leaves the performance.

        The DDJ-SX series features the industry’s lowest latency jog wheel and has been fine-tuned to ensure DJs always get the scratch response they expect. Additionally, the controller borrows a backlit LED On-Jog Display from club-standard CDJs and displays the current track’s playback status for even greater scratch and reverse precision.
      • Audio Color Filters on each channel
        Like the DJM-900nexus professional mixer, the DDJ-SX series has an Audio Color Filter for each channel. DJs turn the Dial left for the Lo Pass Filter and right for the High Pass Filter for more creative sweeps, mixes and FX manipulation. This works with software and external sources, with a built-in hardware filter.
