AI-1 does not need any power supply

The RODE NT1.AI1 kit consists of the RODE NT1 microphone, which has become a standard, and the RODE AI-1 sound card that comes with it. The AI-1 sound card has high-end technology that will allow you to easily record high-quality sound on your computer. Complete Studio Kit comes with NT1-A microphone, AI-1 sound card, shock mount and necessary cables.

The AI-1’s only input is the Neutrik Combo Jack, which can accept both 3-pin XLR (used by almost all microphones) and 1/4″ Jack (electric guitar, bass and similar instruments). All you need to record is is to plug in your instrument and set your level.

AI-1 can work via the USB port, which is connected to the computer without the need for any power supply. Thanks to its direct monitoring feature, lag-free listening is possible.

The AI-1 not only delivers crystal-clear sound to your computer, but the sound quality it delivers to headphones is outstanding, thanks to its studio-quality, discrete-design headphone preamp with level control.
