RØDE VideoMic, end user video cameras and professional audio recording
The RØDE VideoMic is a professional quality 1/2″ condenser shotgun microphone built for use with end-user video cameras and professional audio recorders.
The integrated shockmount manufactured by Rycote isolates the VideoMic capsule and electronics from the metal shoe mount, ensuring that physical factors that can create unwanted noise and vibration do not affect the microphone.
With the 3/8″ adapter that comes with the standard size shoe mount, it can be easily mounted on any boom stick and stand.
Thanks to its super cardioid polar pattern, which provides highly directional coverage, it only picks up the sound of objects in front of the camera, minimizing surrounding noises.
In addition to the 40Hz – 20KHz frequency response, which is one of the features of the microphone, there is a selectable 80Hz filter. Thanks to this filter, air conditioning, traffic noise and similar sounds are prevented from being recorded.
With the -10 dB and -20 dB gain reduction circuit, which can be controlled through the battery compartment, sources with high noise intensity such as motorsports and concerts can be easily recorded.
The RØDE VideoMic has a 10-year warranty.
