Yamaha Integrated Stereo Amp
Yamaha High Sound Quality and High Technological Expertise Built by Rich Experience and Tradition
With a long history as a 125-year-old musical instrument manufacturer, Yamaha also has a high reputation for HiFi components. The A-S201 was created using this rich experience and high technological expertise. It is based on the “Natural Sound” concept to reproduce all music as it truly sounds, and despite being an entry model, it has been meticulously constructed from circuit design to basic sound reproduction while producing high sound quality and musically rich sound.
100W × 2 High Output Power* and High Sound Quality Circuit Design
With above-class 100W* × 2 high drive power, the A-S201 features a high sound quality design that minimizes the length of signal paths and optimizes the circuit layout. Placing the power transformer close to the power amplifier circuit reduces power loss while improving peak power supply capability to deliver high volume output. Signal ground and power supply ground are connected at one point, eliminating mutual interference to achieve a higher S/N ratio. The result is a sound filled with clarity and a sense of openness.
* 8 ohms, 40Hz-20kHz, 0.2% THD
Pure Direct Mode for More Sound Purity
Enabling the Pure Direct Switch causes the audio signal to bypass the control circuits for bass and treble, balance and rear bumper amplifier. This improves sound quality while maintaining full output capability. Shortening the signal path improves sound purity, helping to reproduce even the most delicate musical nuances.
Simple and Advanced Design
The A-S201 inherits the simple and sophisticated design style for which Yamaha HiFi sound is famous. With its elegant hairline finish, it blends beautifully with other HiFi audio equipment. Operation buttons and volume buttons also demonstrate our commitment to simplicity and ease of use.
Phono MM Terminal for Record Player and Screw Speaker Terminals
The A-S201 has an MM phono input terminal for connecting a turntable. A total of five input terminals means it can be the central unit for different sound systems. And large screw-in speaker terminals provide solid connections with thick speaker wires.
The power management function automatically cuts off the power (goes to standby) when the amplifier is not operated for a long time. It can be set to 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours or turned off. Also, the standby power consumption is only 0.5W, providing good energy-saving performance.
